When driving, one of the things we tend to think about is our fuel economy. Here are some great things to think about when driving that’ll help bump up your MPGs by a few miles and get you the most value out of the gas you buy!

  • Don’t speed – it’s illegal and wastes gas.

  • Use your cruise control on the highway when it’s safe to do so

  • Keep your tires inflated properly

  • Make sure you stay current on your oil changes

  • Get your tires rotated and your alignment checked every oil change

  • When you need new tires, get low rolling resistance tires

  • Carpool with friends, family, and coworkers

  • Combine shopping trips and errands into one trip

  • Don’t idle your vehicle

  • Park in the shade to minimize fuel evaporation

  • Clean out your vehicle

  • Switch roof storage to rear or interior storage

Following these tips will help you save gas – share them with friends and help the environment… and your wallet!
